About Windhaven Academy
Windhaven Academy is a family-centered preschool serving children from 6 weeks through 10 years old. We provide high-quality early childhood education, childcare, and enrichment programs designed to support not only children but the families who love them.
From infant through Pre-K and beyond, our programs are intentionally crafted to nurture confidence, curiosity, independence, and a genuine love of learning. We believe childcare is a partnership, and parents deserve transparency, communication, and peace of mind every step of the way.
Our Story
Windhaven Academy was founded by Assia Mahmood, a mom of two, 5-star rated Amazon author, and passionate advocate for modern parenting. Like many parents, Assia experienced firsthand how difficult it can be to find childcare that truly aligns with your values, where your child is deeply cared for, and you feel genuinely supported as a parent.
She envisioned something more than traditional preschool.
Windhaven was created as a warm, intentional space where children feel safe to explore, educators feel valued and empowered, and parents feel confident, informed, and connected. Every decision - from curriculum to nutrition to communication - has been shaped through the lens of a parent who understands what truly matters.

★ Assistant Toddler Teacher
The Assistant Toddler Teacher helps create a warm, nurturing environment where toddlers can safely explore, develop independence, and build foundational skills during their most formative years.
Key Responsibilities:
★ Support the Lead Teacher in daily classroom activities and routines
★ Foster a safe, loving, and responsive environment for toddlers
★ Assist with feeding, diapering, and toileting routines
★ Encourage language development, motor skills, and social interaction
★ Engage children through play-based learning and exploration

Qualifications:
★ High school diploma required

★ Support lead and assistant teachers across multiple classrooms as needed
★ Provide a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for all children
★ Assist with daily routines including meals, naps, transitions, and activities
★ Step into classrooms to maintain ratios and ensure smooth operations
★ Build positive relationships with children, families, and team members
★ Maintain cleanliness and organization of classroom spaces
★ Follow all health, safety, and sanitation policies
Qualifications

★ Front Desk Receptionist
The Front Desk Receptionist is the first point of contact for families, staff, and visitors at Windhaven Academy. This position requires a friendly, professional, and organized individual who can manage multiple tasks and provide a welcoming environment for all. The Front Desk Receptionist plays a critical role in the day-to-day operations of the academy, ensuring that all visitors and families feel supported and informed.
Key Responsibilities
★ Greet visitors, families, and staff with a warm and welcoming attitude
★ Answer and direct phone calls in a professional manner
★ Maintain a clean, organized front desk area
★ Handle general administrative duties such as filing, data entry, and office supplies management
★ Assist with registration, enrollment, and other paperwork for families
★ Schedule and confirm appointments, tours, and meetings
★ Ensure all visitors sign in and out, maintaining a secure environment
★ Provide information about the academy's programs, policies, and procedures to families and visitors
★ Maintain and update contact information for families and staff
★ Handle incoming mail and deliveries
★ Support staff with general office tasks as needed
Qualifications
