Yes! Weather permitting, students enjoy outdoor play twice a day on our age-appropriate playground. If the weather isn’t ideal, children will still get active playtime in our large indoor gym space. During hot months, we also offer splash pad time for fun and cooling off. We understand the importance of both fresh air and active playtime and have built a campus to foster that, regardless of the weather conditions.

Yes. Tuition includes all meals and snacks, which are kid-friendly, organic, and allergy-aware. Our kitchen staff prepares food daily in accordance with each child’s dietary needs.

In our pre-k classrooms, we keep group sizes intentionally small to give every child the attention they deserve. Our pre-kindergarten classes have 2 teachers for every 18 children. These low ratios exceed state requirements and ensure each student receives personal, nurturing care.

You’ll receive real-time updates through the Brightwheel app, a key element to our connected, tech-forward childcare development center. Photos, logs, and direct messages help you stay fully engaged in your child’s day.

Yes. Windhaven Academy is a fully licensed daycare center under the State of Texas. Every staff member completes a federal background check and holds up-to-date CPR certification. Our teachers also undergo 26+ hours of professional training each year in early childhood education, safety, and development.

Windhaven Academy offers year-round daycare, preschool, and pre-k services to meet the needs of our families. Our tuition includes a full-day program, Monday through Friday, 7am-6 pm. We offer flexible drop-off and pick-up times to support your family’s routine. 

Our holiday calendar is updated each year, and we’re happy to provide the most current version for your planning convenience upon request. Our schedule is not based on any school district calendar, but we do follow Plano ISD for all weather-related closures to ensure the safety and consistency for our families. 

To keep our classrooms healthy and safe, Windhaven Academy asks that any child or staff member showing signs of illness stay home. Anyone with a fever of 100.4°F or higher, vomiting, diarrhea, or other contagious symptoms must be symptom-free for at least 24 hours without the use of medication before returning to school. In some cases, a doctor’s note may be required. If a child becomes ill during the day, we will contact the parents for immediate pickup and ensure the child is kept comfortable and separate from others until they are picked up.

I actually started my infant at another local daycare at 4.5 months old and transitioned to Windhaven about a month later. I felt a difference in care on day 1 at Windhaven. The ladies in the nonmobile infants classroom are amazing. App is accurately updated in a very timely manner. I could tell they keep a very clean house - they keep a close eye on the babies and enforce sick policies. I fill out an infant care form every month and these ladies do a wonderful job of following our feed/nap schedule. I can't say enough positive things about this place.
